Jose Alcantar crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Cameron and Market streets around 9:30 p.m.
Alcantar's community is rallying for his family. A family friend, Viviana Melendrez-Martinez, launched a GoFundMe campaign page to help cover funeral expenses.
The campaign has raised $4,170 of the $13,000 goal as of Tuesday afternoon.
Alcantar "was such a wonderful, cheerful and amazing person. He touched a lot of hearts," as Melendrez-Martinez stated on the campaign page.
A meal train was also started for the family and the times have filled.
His community is also sharing their grief on social media.
The case of the crash remains under investigation.
